Replacement River Deck – Burnham-on-Crouch
The hotel overlooks the River Crouch which is tidal and has had a deck over the river for decades. The existing deck had become unsafe due to rotten wooden deck and supports.

Following a large amount of work for this client in 2021 we were asked to propose works to re-clad the scout hut and replace the windows and doors.
These works for HHA were entirely developed and proposed by Amicus and approved by HHA over approx. 10 months including third party approvals.
HHA are collaborating with a local fisherman to bring lobsters back to the coast around Brightlingsea and Harwich.
At HHA’s maintenance service building and yard the concrete floor slabs were showing signs of deflection. We undertook an investigation inside and outside of the building and proposed a solution to pump foam concrete into the voids that were found under the slabs.
This was a challenging project due to the location within a park in Finchley with limited access on both sides. The existing 8m long x 1.2m wide timber bridge over Dollis Brook was in urgent need of replacement.
Following our successful completion of Phase 1 of the pier renovations we were contracted to install a new parapet to enable the client to open the pier and maximise fund raising for future phases.
We were recommended to this client following our work at Shotley Pier. The works involved removing the old timber foundations of their beach hut and installing new screw piles with a hardwood timber base frame.
This contract took many months of planning to ensure that the radar facility for HHA was only down for a few days. The works were coordinated during our other works at Landguard Point.
As part of our civil engineering term framework contract with HHA we were contracted to undertake a variety of projects at Landguard Point in Felixstowe.
