Amicus won this project to repair the rotten and vandalised walkway to this jetty on the beach behind Landguard Fort in Felixstowe.
This was the second phase of the shot blasting and painting of the jetty structural steelwork and piles. This phase was about 2/3 of the length of the jetty.
The client tendered this project based on it being completed over two phases on successive summers. The Launch Jetty is HHA’s key asset to deliver their Pilot Boat service and utility vessel support which runs 24/7.
This was our first project as Amicus and involved an ambitious programme to deliver a new site access along the busy Parkway dual carriageway in the centre of Chelmsford.
Amicus undertook this project for KKB which involved a new road connecting Manor Royal with the A2011 dual carriageway.
We were asked to price and mobilise for this project in the space of a week to ensure the client met their piling commencement date.
We collaborated with Browne on this project to refurbish this bridge over the New River. The bridge was in a bad state of repair and had sections closed off and it had become unsafe to remain open to the general public.
For this project we achieved accreditation to RISQS to undertake works adjacent to the railway. This project was an enormous challenge as the site was approximately 1 mile from the nearest road and was within an ancient woodland allocated SSSI status.
This small scheme required the works to be sensitively planned as it was undertaken within the SSSI area at Landguard Point in Felixstowe. We also had a watching brief with a local archaeologist during the excavation work.
