Landguard Point – Groyne Repairs, Jetty Deck Replacement & Sea Wall Concrete Repairs

As part of our civil engineering term framework contract with HHA we were contracted to undertake a variety of projects at Landguard Point in Felixstowe. Works included repairs to the beach groynes using hardwood timbers. Missing and damaged timbers were replaced with works coordinated with the tides. An existing timber jetty was also repaired by replacing the decking, some support timbers and new railings. In 2014 we repaired the timber approach section of this jetty. The concrete sea wall was also repaired by epoxy crack injections, renewing the joint sealant plus breaking out and replacing damaged concrete to the upstand and apron. During this period we also under took the fence replacement to the Warden’s bungalow and improvements to the paths and drainage unblocking.
