Radar Tower Ducting, Felixstowe

This small scheme required the works to be sensitively planned as it was undertaken within the SSSI area at Landguard Point in Felixstowe. We also had a watching brief with a local archaeologist during the excavation work.

We ensured that the turf was removed and set aside and the excavated material separated to ensure that the material was returned in the same location during backfill. Terram was used to prevent contaminating the turf area. Twin ducts were laid to connect the Meteorological Tower with the main Radar Tower for future use.
