Langdon Academy – Playground and Hard Landscaping

Working for the main contractor, Nserv, we completed the entire scope of work to deliver a large hard landscaped external space and SEN playground at the Langdon Academy in East Ham, London. The existing areas were in poor condition with varying levels and old kerbs, paths and roads. All construction was undertaken in a live school environment with daily coordination and planning with the school to keep the students and staff safe at all times. To minimise disruption we planned noisy activities before and after school and at weekends and other disruptive work during break times. The new scheme included large areas of resin bound surfacing, porcelain paving, street furniture, canopies, play equipment, fence realignment and painting.
