Gas House Creek, Harwich – Sheet Piles

Following very poor weather in the Winter of 2019 a section of the old existing quayside timber retaining structure was washed away risking the loss of access to the Harwich and Dovercourt Sailing Club.

Amicus were appointed by Hutchison Ports to site clear the washed away quay wall and install new sheet piles in a curved alignment as a temporary solution and then backfill and fence off the area. The client is currently assessing a permanent solution.
