Project: The Sandon School – Drainage Improvements
Client: The Sandon School
This project had to be completed during the school summer holidays and to a strict maximum budget. Amicus worked with the client and design team to develop value engineering savings to come in under their maximum spend.
The school car parks and large playground had major flooding problems and the works were designed to eliminate the flooding by installing new drainage, gullies, channel drains and large soakaways. Our value engineering proposals included landscaping of the arisings on site, jetting and repair of the existing drains in lieu of replacement and reduction in the size of the soakaways.
Our proposals allowed the school to instruct additional works to repair root damage in the car parks, additional drain clearance and reline the tennis and netball courts in the main playground.
